This piece began with Rutilated Quartz. Its natural color and pattern immediately gave the design its direction, so I kept the copper setting thoughtful and detailed without taking attention away from what nature created.
I incorporated the sun design to give the piece a distinctive silhouette and a touch of symbolism without overpowering the stone.
